SMART Goal
We are going to get 50 personalized donut orders through the app per week for a total of 200 orders the first month after the app launches by offering incentives through our three marketing platforms, Instagram, Facebook, and email.
KPI’s
- To have a DAUs or (Daily Active Users) rate of 70 DAU with a 10% conversion rate to meet the order quantity objective.
- To have an ROI of 7:1 or higher for the first 3 months of business to make sure the proposed budget is being used as effectively as possible for a new product.
- To have a retention rate of at least 85% or higher for the first 3 months of business in order to keep people coming back to the app after grand opening.
Appropriate Marketing Channels
The first marketing channel that Bigfoot will use for the grand opening of their app is Instagram. It fits within their demographic – parents in their 30’s & 40’s as well as those who graduated. It captures the demographic that is trendy and likes to showcase a unique product to their friends and families by making posts or sharing to their stories. Instagram is notorious for sharing food images and it should be taken advantage of.
The second marketing channel that Bigfoot will use for the grand opening of their app is Facebook. With a slightly older demographic that makes up lots of parents and those with extra spending money, Facebook is a great choice. Not only does Facebook have the benefit of sharing similar to Instagram but it also has the ability to be a part of local groups. Where better to find information on how to get unique gifts than local Facebook groups designed specifically for gift-giving in your area? Directly communicating with the local community in groups like this can help spread the word and provide the benefit of having a unique and strong voice that listens to the needs of their customers.
The final marketing channel that Bigfoot will use for the grand opening of their app is email. It fits the demographic of those with demanding careers and minimal time to shop around. Business professionals are always checking their inbox and will jump on a deal that can make their life easier whether its a meal planning kit, free delivery on their next uber-eats order, or an easy way to customize a gift for their sibling that has a birthday in two days.
